So you’ll want to avoid the summer months when most people visit and flight and hotel prices skyrocket. On the other hand, you don’t want to visit in the off-season either, from late November until early March.
Most shops are also closed (Santorini is a major shopping destination). For a visit at this time of year, I would highly recommend the Peloponnese. It tends to get exceptionally beautiful weather in December, especially Lakonia and Messenia. Far less wet and wind, and amazing scenery, plus pretty much everything is open. Gzzw.
